Four Tips to Succeed in the Digital Marketing Realm

In the digital age and the wake of a pandemic, it’s more important than ever to make your business stand out on social media. Knowing exactly how to best engage with your audience and how to build better relationships with your clients is difficult, but Sarah Douglas, one of our incredible experts, explains how.

“When you’re building your online presence, the goal is for people to know you [and] trust you and you can’t do that if you’re trying to be someone else,” Sarah Douglas said.

Here are Sarah’s four tips on how to succeed in the world of digital marketing. Also, don’t forget to create a free account to unlock more in-depth video resources that will get your business on the right foot. Sign up here: https://www.gotostage.com/channel/bb40db6ff5ed43ed99dbdaf17bf264d1

Tip One: Develop a social media strategy

Have a basic game plan. Create long-term goals to guide yourself and make sure you have a clear idea of what you want your social media presence to be like. This ensures that your brand is recognizable and you’re able to create a unique digital reputation for yourself and your company.

Tip Two: Make it a priority

Social media users are able to tell when businesses make digital marketing their last priority. Hasty, irregular posts, blurry photos, and captions with typos and misspellings will only alienate you from the people you’re trying to reach. Prepare posts in advance and make sure that you’re paying attention to the engagement and reactions you’re getting from your audience.

Tip Three: Keep it personal

Interacting with a business on social media can be daunting, especially when people don’t know who’s behind an account. Being open and clear about who you are and what you do can help demystify and strengthen your relationship with your clients. Having content that shows what happens behind the scenes can make your social media presence more authentic.

Tip Four: Be consistent

Unreliably posting once or twice a week in this digital age shows that social media is not a priority for your business. It’s important to keep your audience updated on what you’re doing and stay consistent with your posts instead of leaving people hanging for days on end.
