WBC Overview

The LiftFund Women’s Business Center (WBC) offers guidance and support to empower women entrepreneurs to become successful business leaders. Since 2008, the WBC has been serving the San Antonio small business community with consultations and trainings to entrepreneurs at all stages of their business. Whether you need a start-up business plan, or advice and seminars on business and market planning to grow your business, we are here for you. The WBC is a program of LiftFund, a non-profit small business lender, and a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. We provide innovative business support services like technical and soft skill trainings, accelerator programs, individual consultations business advising, and strategic partnerships with other small business service providers. The LiftFund San Antonio Women’s Business Center is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Staff

Margaret Wilson-Anaglia

Director

Margaret Wilson-Anaglia is a seasoned entrepreneur, community leader and small business advocate with more than 25 years of experience working in public, private and entrepreneurial businesses. As the Director of the Women’s Business Center, Margaret leads the center’s services and programs. 

Margaret is the founder of Al’s Gourmet Nuts, a small family-owned business that continues in operation under the leadership of her family. Before launching her own business she held leadership roles with the City of San Antonio and Traveler Insurance Employee Benefits.

Margaret has served as the keynote speaker for the Texas Governor’s Small Business Forum in San Antonio and has won numerous awards including the San Antonio Women’s Chamber of Commerce-Constellation of Stars Awards and the National Association of Women Business Owners Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for Innovation. 

She currently serves on the Port San Antonio Board of Directors as Secretary and a mentor in Trinity University’s Entrepreneurship Program.
